Today my brother and I got pulled over for a seatbelt violation. The officer that came up to the window was very rude from the start. He asked my bother why he was nervous in a accusing tone. My brother politely stated that he has not been pulled over before. Which led to the K-9 unit and a vehicle search. But I'm not going to restate the whole scenario. I just wanted to put a big thank you for the officers that were there, Mr.T.Ericson, K-9 unit officer Mr.Chad, and the young lady officer that was there for being so polite and not being rude to us and honestly calming our nerves in the situation. But now the officer that pulled us over, a older gentleman; balding with a comb over to hide the balding, he was very rude and made the situation very uncomfortable. He later become polite after they searched the vehicle and realized there was nothing in the car. Shout out and much respect to the Perry officers who don't abuse theyre authority and are friendly with the citizens that they meant protect.
The day after hurricane irma there were over 60 utility trucks tied up by the single unmanned traffic light in Perry. With no cross traffic at the light, the back-up of vehicles was as far as the eye could see and not one police officer manning the light to let the emergency vehicles through. It was the worst example of traffic control I have ever seen. The police in Perry should be ashamed of themselves. The nearest State Police were in Ocala, so the Police in Perry should have helped. They stink.
