So tasty. Perfectly cooked fries

The menu includes burgers, hot dogs, chili dogs, chili burgers, ice cream (both soft serve and hand dipped, I think), banana splits, and various desserts.

Graves Drive-in used to be a Drive-in Theater. The theater closed in the '80s, and now they were just a restaurant. Burgers are cooked on the same grill they used in the Drive-in's snack bar. (When I told the cashier that the only reason I had found them was because of that park bench, she ran back to tell the owner, who came out and told me a little about the history of the place.)

Waited over an hour and still my order was wrong also told me that they are not making any more sweet tea after 7pm and did not wamt to give us bit one small container of cheese sause even tho we was paying the additional cost they said they were to swamped to get us another container of cheese sause...Quality of this place has went way down over the years but the incompentcy sure went up.

I decided to head to the old downtown, where I found a couple of options, a pizzeria and a "bistro and coffee shop", but parking downtown with a boat trailer was going to be challenging. I had just about given up, and was heading back to the Hardees, when I saw it. A park bench. A plastic park bench like you'd see at a city bus stop. A park bench with those seat separators that would keep a homeless person from lying down on it. A plastic park bench with local advertising on the backrest. There were several of them downtown, which was odd. They looked a little out of place in Perry. Small town Florida with 100-year-old buildings, and no public transportation. But this bench was special. This bench had an ad for Graves Drive-In "Home of the famous burgers". 2 miles north.

Not a traditional resturant but booth seating is available. Drive thru window is usually busy so order ahead if you are in a rush. This place has been around for a very long time and the burger is a must try if you are in the area! One of the best burgers I have eaten in my entire life and not very expensive! Nice sized portions (including fries) make it a meal I usually have to share.

My cheese burger was thick, with a full slice of sweet onion. Steak fries were cooked to perfection, and wrapped in deli paper. (It's hard to find really good crispy steak fries.) They accommodated my wife's "no-bun" request by putting the patty on that full slice of onion to protect it from the styrofoam to-go box.

We were passing through Perry, FL on a Tuesday afternoon, just the two of us and a boat trailer. Heading south on US 98 I found those fast food stand-bys Hardees, Burger King, McD's. But, not wanting to eat at a fast food chain, and wanting to find my wife some gluten free options, we kept looking. Google found me a local BBQ joint ...which was closed for renovations. [sigh]

I expected to find an old drive in restaurant where car-hops once roller skated out to your car and hung a tray on your partially rolled down front door window. But what I found looked more like an old converted service station, complete with what I assumed was an old two-pump pump island.

This is just the kind of place I look for in a small rural town. Next time I go through Perry, I'm stopping by just for dessert!

First time my husband and I came here, our Pastor told us about this place. Definitely will be coming back. Service and food was outstanding. I had cheeseburger and fries, my husband had bacon cheeseburger.

Graves Drive-In was a great find. But it wasn't easy.

Of course, I was heading south. So, once again, I turned my SUV and boat trailer around to head north to the local spot I'd hoped to find. (I'm sure the people of downtown Perry were convinced I was lost at this point, but I didn't care.)
